Future perfect tense with examples and exercise .

In this article, I have explained the future perfect tense with examples and exercises. I have also explained the positive, negative, and interrogative sentences.

Future perfect tense

Introduction

It is used to express an action that accrued in the future and completed in future. It expresses a sense of completion of an action that will accrue in future. Examples, Goher will have gone tomorrow. I show a sense of completion in the future.

Structure

In the structure, we are going to discuss the structure of positive, negative, and interrogative sentences.

Positive Sentence


In a positive sentence, the subject is used at the start of a sentence. After the subject, the Helping verb Will have is used. At the end of the sentence, an object is used.

Structure

Subject + Helping Verb Will + Helping verb Have + Main verb  + Object

Subject + Will + Have + VIII + Object

Examples

  • I Shall have completed my homework.
  • They will have bought a new car.
  • We will have started our project.
  • She will have taken her breakfast.
  • You will have seen us.
  • We shall have gone to school.
  • You will have helped your friends
  • They will have applied for a job.
  • You will have received my letter.
  • I shall have beaten him.

Negative Sentence

Negative sentences helping verb WILL NOT HAVE  is used, then past participle or 3rd form of the verb is used as a main verb. At the end of the sentence, the object is used.

Structure

Subject + Helping verb +Not +Helping verb + Main Verb + Object

Subject + Will + Not + Have + VIII + Object

Examples

  • I Shall not have completed my homework.
  • They will not have bought a new car.
  • We will not have started our project.
  • She will not have taken her breakfast.
  • You will not have seen us.
  • We shall not have gone to school.
  • You will  not have helped your friends
  • They will not have applied for a job.
  • You will not have received my letter.
  • I shall not have beaten him.

 Interrogative Semtence

Interrogative sentences start with the helping verb "Will" after the helping verb" will" Subject is used, then the helping verb" Have" is used. After the helping verb has 3rd form of the main verb is used as the main verb. At the end of the sentence, the object is used.

Structure

Helping verb( Have) + Subject +Helping verb(

(Will) + Main verb + object +?

Will/Shall + Subject + Have + Object

Examples

  • Shall I have completed my home?
  • Will they have bought a new car?
  • Will we have started our project?
  • Will she have taken her breakfast?
  • Will you have seen us?
  • Shall we have gone to school?
  • Will you have helped your friends?
  • Will they have applied for a job?
  • Will you have received my letter?
  • Shall I have beaten him?

Interrogative + Negative Sentences

Interrogative + Negative sentences start with helping verb will /shall, after helping verb will or shall subject is used. After the subject helping verb Have is used, then 3rd form of the verb is used as a main verb. At the end of the sentence, the object is used.

Structure

Helping verb + Subject + Not + Helping verb + Main verb + Object
(Helping verb) Will /Shall + Subject + Not + (Helping Verb) Have + VIII + Object

Examples

  • Shall I not have completed my home
  • Will they not have bought a new car.
  • Will we not have started our project.
  • Will she not have taken her breakfast.
  • Will you not have seen us.
  • Shall we not have gone to school
  • Will you not have helped your friends
  • Will they not have applied for a job.
  • Will you not have received my letter.
  • Shall I not have beaten him?

WH Interrogative Sentences

Wh interrogative sentences start with an interrogative word like When, How, Which, Who, Where, after these words helping verb will is used. After helping verb, the subject is used, then again second helping verb have is used. At the end of the sentence, the object is used.

Structure

WH Words +Helping verb + Subject + Helping verb + Main verb + Object

Why + Will /Shall + Subject +Have + VIII + Object

Examples

  • Why shall I have completed my home?
  • When will they have bought a new car?
  • Where will we have started our project?
  • Why will she have taken her breakfast?
  • When will you have seen us?
  • WheresShall we have gone to school?
  • How will you have helped your friends
  • WhyWill they have applied for a job?
  • when will you have received my letter?
  • How shall I have beaten him?

   I shall not have traveled around the world.
   Shall I have traveled around the world?
   Shall I not have traveled around the world?
   Why shall I have traveled around the world?

7. I shall have attended my class.
   I shall not have attended my class.
   Shall I have attended my class?
   Shall I not have attended my class?
   When shall I have attended my class?
