The use of Hardly and Scarcely
Introduction
The sentence in which hardly and scarcely is used consists of two parts. In the first part, the past perfect tense is used. In the second part, the Past Indefinite Tense is used. The second method of translating such sentences is that we can use Hardy / Scarcely at the beginning of the sentence and the helping verb is used after hardly and scarcely. When is used as a conjunction to connect both parts?Structure
